A study, "Environmental impact of the SBM on Water, Soil, and Food", by UNICEF has found that ODF villages are 12.7 times less likely to have their groundwater sources contaminated from contaminants traceable to humans, as compared to non-ODF villages.

Swachh Bharat Mission leverages Rs. 23,000 cr for behaviour change: BMGF
The "Assessment of the reach and value of IEC activities under SBM(G)" has found that SBM-G has mobilised a spend equivalent worth Rs. 22,000 to 26,000 crores in IEC activities in the last 4 and a half years.

Review of States for water conservation, rural water supply and SBM(G) by the Ministry of Jal Shakti
|
|
|
|
Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, held a review meeting with State Ministers and Principal Secretaries for Water Resources, Drinking Water and Sanitation, and PHED in New Delhi on 11th June 2019. Ministers from 24 States joined the review which focused on the steps taken and action plans made for water conservation, and the drinking water and sanitation sectors.
